Self-guided adventure trails
Some of our NOROC ROMANIA mountain biking trails are now registered with a performance GPS for those who want to explore by themselves our beautiful area! Alone, or in a group of friends, you will have the opportunity to discover some of our different levels trails. Every morning will be a short briefing, you can choose to overnight in the same accommodation or in different places, we`ll provide luggage transfer, car assistance, transfer from airport and back, GPS files, half-board accommodation in double rooms and picnic lunch, secure bike storage, wash down and workshop facilities. Is possible also to combine days from our trails, according to your wishes! You still have time to decide what is best for you and your friends and to quote a friend, don`t forget: You can live without your bicycle, but not worth! See below an example of self-guided tour:

Do you need a bike?
Private transfer from airport Bucharest to Sinaia (2 hours). Visit the famous Peles Castle. Located in a beautiful mountainous region, at the foothills of the Bucegi Mountains, Sinaia is one of the oldest and most famous mountain resorts, often referred to as-The Pearl of the Carpathians. The beautiful region drew the attention of the Hohenzollern Royal House(Carol I – King of Romania) who built Peles Castle, starting 1873. It becames the summer royal residence. Prior to World War II and the abdication of the royal family, Sinaia was a summer retreat for Romania’s aristocracy. Accommodation at New Aosta Garden guesthouse, built between 1911 – 1920 by closely vision and drawings architect and owner John W Luncan.
From Sinaia you have to follow a 2 hours dirt road through forest till in Busteni. You will cross near the Cantacuzino Castle and if you have time enough for a visit it is worth! Here is the starting point for your main uphill to Baiului mountain, 800m in 12 km on a wide, forest road which lead you on a beautiful ridge. Here you can admire imposing Bucegi mountain. You will continue to ride up and down on these ridge for 1 hour. The downhill back to Sinaia is a flowing, steep 800m- in 14 km. Technical details: 45km with 1100m+ and 1000m-
Today you will traverse Bucegi mountains; from Sinaia you can take the cable car to Cota 2000m, or you can climb by bicycles on a steep and demanding ski slope. For a good level group is possible to reach the highest peak Omu 2505m. After a long and nice downhill you will arrive to your accommodation The Mountain Rescue Guesthouse, where the owner and his team are friendly and ready to offer you all you need. One 450 m+ uphill to Strunga saddle at 2000m high(sometimes pushing bike). Here you are in Leaota mountain where you can continue with a long traversing and the last downhill(1000m-) with some technical parts take you to Moieciu de Sus, a mountain village where the most of inhabitants living from tourism and shepherding. Overnight in a local guesthouse with very good services and traditional home-made food. 35 km with 450m+ and 1000m-
Another day…crossing small and remote mountain villages with many uphills and downhills like Dambovicioara, Fundata, Sirnea. Visit Bran Castle better know like Dracula castle but no connection with him. For many years the castle was home to Queen Marie, Queen Victoria of England’s granddaughter. Accommodation in Magura, a still remote and small mountain village. Pepino House will be your host and in the next day it will be hard to say good bye! Technical details: 45 km with 900m+ and 900m-
A different day, technical MTB route, initially at the edge of forest with many ascents and descents. The middle part of the route takes you through Zarnesti Canyon, which belongs to our famous jewel Piatra Craiului mountain. You will surround the north part of this limestone mountain and the last 6km will be technical, on a narrow single track. Accommodation in a very nice chalet far away from civilization. technical details: 42 km with 950 m+ and 900m-
Plaiul Foii-Brasov: in the last day you will take a trail to Rasnov village, where is nice to visit the Rasnov fortress. From here, a long uphill through the forest and meadows with single tracks till to Poiana Brasov, the most important ski resort from our country. A 5 km route takes you to the Postavaru peak 1800m(or you can use the cable car) and enjoy the picnic to Postavaru chalet. After that, a long single track downhill (1200m-) to Brasov. Visit Brasov, one of the most important and charming town in Romania. Technical details: 50km with 1100m+ and 1300m-
Transfer to the airport for the departure; if is time enough short riding around Brasov.
